We made a survey regarding our research question about how is the lack of education in children affecting poverty in Latin America. In this way we can aim our analysis in order to pursue some ideas that people have about this topic and enhance the positive ones, while we try to resolve the negative ideas towards this topic.


In figure 1, we began by asking whether people thought if education was available for every child in their countries :

Figure 1. We realized that about 89.5% of the population in our survey believe that education in not accessible in their countries.

In Figure 2, it is demonstrated how important education is according to the popular opinion of the people in the survey.

Figure 2. Most of the people who answered our survey are sure that education has a big impact in the development of an individual, therefore in their country.

In Figure 3, we asked our sample what they believed were the main reasons that children abandoned school, or did not assist to school in the first place.

In this survey we also ask what is the main consequence of not having a proper education. We the received answers we noticed that most of the people said that without education you are not prepared as other people that have had a proper education. This leads to a lack of necessary skills and knowledge to flourish in a society.


In figure 4, we observed the information compiled in a survey made by UNICEF and the CONEVAL in 2014.

In Figure 5, we asked people whether or not they believed that poverty resulted directly from the lack of education in their country.

Figure 5. The majority of people belives that poverty is mainly caused bye the lack of education in children. Some others think that in most of the cases it does, but not always.

In Figure 6, we asked people whether they believed if the lack of education was a result of poverty in their country, which was the opposite of the question shown in Figure 5.
